How does NHS supports students' personal and academic growth?

At New Heights School, we believe that every student has the potential to soar. That’s why we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities and programs to help students discover their passions, develop their skills, and become well-rounded individuals.

Many ways that students can get involved at New Heights School:

Academic Programs

  • STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics): We offer a variety of STEAM programs and activities to help students develop their critical thinking skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Examples include science and math clubs, coding competitions, and science fairs.
  • Humanities and Social Sciences: We also offer a variety of humanities and social sciences programs and activities to help students develop their critical thinking skills, communication skills, and understanding of the world around them. Examples include the debate club, history club, and Model United Nations.

Arts and Culture

  • Performing Arts: We offer a variety of performing arts programs and activities, including dance, music (instrumental and vocal), drama, and theatre. Students have the opportunity to participate in performances, both within the school and in their social communities.
  • Visual Arts: We also offer a variety of visual arts programs and activities, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography. Students have the opportunity to display their artwork in school exhibitions and competitions.

Athletics and Clubs

  • Athletics: We offer a variety of sports programs, including soccer, basketball, cricket, volleyball, track and field, and swimming. Students have the opportunity to participate in interscholastic competitions and receive coaching from experienced professionals.
  • Worldy Student Clubs: We also offer a variety of clubs and organizations that cater to a wide range of interests, such as robotics, chess, book club, and environmental club. Students have the opportunity to explore their passions and connect with other students who share their interests.

Leadership and Service

  • Student Leaders: Our student leadership posts provide students with leadership opportunities like head boy & head girl that give them a voice in school that matters. Students get to experience management & leadership early on in their careers which helps them to prepare for the future. 
  • Community Service: We encourage our students to give back to the community through a variety of volunteer opportunities.
